FCCLA Culinary Arts will Compete at State competition

 

       On April 3, the team of Cody Castle and Heylee Lockhart competed at the Culinary Competition in Region 3 at the Columbus Culinary Institute. Their Product Development project was muffins with chia seeds. They developed a banana peanut butter chia seed muffin and were awarded a silver medal. Their score was enough to give them the opportunity to compete at state on April 21st. This event will again be held at the culinary school, but they will have to wait until the State Leadership Conference on April 27 to see what score they receive. This is the first time that Northwest FCCLA members competed in a culinary event and we hope it will not be the last.
