NMS Football "6-0"

For the first time in over a decade, the Northwest Middle School football team is looking to go "undefeated". Their record stands at 6-0 as they put up another win over Waverly at home 40-8. The end of the season is near with just two games to go. With wins agains Symmes Valley and Green the Mohawks will realize their goal of a perfect season!

Head Coach, Billy Crabtree said "This group of boys came together this summer playing basketball, winning games and gaining confidence. It carried over into football season, where their new found team attitude has propelled them into a winning season. They have worked hard and are dedicated. The leaders have stepped up and have done what we needed them to do."

The community has come together to support the program and the excitement is building as the Mohawks bring home the win each week. Come on out and be a part of this winning group of 7th and 8th graders. It's just one more good thing happening in the Mohawk Nation.

The next game will be at Symmes Valley, Thursday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m.

Pink Out

pink shirts copyThe high school cheerleaders community service project has always been to honor National Breast Cancer awareness month-October.  In observance, they are having a pink out on Oct. 9th at the football game against Oak Hill. This will also be our cheer camp night for our little cheerleaders to perform at the game.  They will all be dressed in pink to support the cause too.  We are pre-selling t-shirts for the game.  I am attaching a flyer and an order form for all of you who did not already receive one. You can also pick up an order form at any of the offices in all 3 buildings.  If you would like to order, just drop off your order form to the building offices and Becky McClay or I will pick them up next Friday, Oct. 2nd.

Thanks for supporting the cause and the football team!
