Evening WithThe Arts

The Northwest Local School District will be having their 29th Annual Evening with the Arts program on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. The program will take place at both the high school and elementary buildings, highlighting the artistic talents of our students throughout the district.

Northwest Elementary School:

Doors open at 4:30 p.m.  Displays will be set up outside all classrooms with selected artworks and writing projects for grades 3 – 5 on display in the cafeteria from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.  Vocal and instrumental performances by students in grades 1 – 5 will be presented beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.

Northwest High School:

Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Displays for Northwest High School and Northwest Middle School students' projects for grades 6 – 12 will be set up in the Northwest High School cafetorium from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  A showcase of vocal and instrumental musical performances for grades 6 – 12 will be presented from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Northwest High School Gymnasium.   Beginning at 7:00 p.m. the Northwest District Instrumental Music Department will present the Annual Spring Concert in the Gymnasium.   The concert will end at 9:00 p.m.

Refreshments will be available at both locations.

Disney Princess Tea Party

A Tea Party will take place on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Northwest Elementary School from 3:30 - 5:30 pm. Cost is $20, and this fee includes refreshments, as well as nail painting, make up, coloring and more. Pictures will also be available with your favorite Disney princess. All proceeds will benefit Miss Northwest, Makala Hunt, as she represents our school district in the Miss River Days Pageant. For more information, please call (740) 464-0214, or contact Makala at Northwest High School.

Ohio Achievement Assessments (OAA)

The Ohio Achievement Assessments will begin on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Information regarding the assessment tests will be sent home in April.
