Northwest High School is part of the Local School System, created in 1958, and located in the Northwest corner of Scioto County. There are 156 square miles and five townships (Union, Rush, Morgan, Brush Creek, and Rarden) comprising the district. The population of the area is 10,000 with student enrollment at 2,000.
The high school and elementary are housed in new facilities. The middle school is housed in the renovated old high school built in 1958. All buildings are located on a central campus near the center of the district on State Route 348.
