Grade Students Visit Science Farm
6th Grade Students at Northwest Middle School
recently took a field trip to the 48th Annual Farm Science Review
held at the Molly Caren Agricultural Center, near London, Ohio.
Demonstration plots of various plantings of corn, soybeans, and
wheat were available for viewing on the facility, while today’s
most modern farm equipment could be seen harvesting, strip-tilling,
and tilling these crops.
Displays on farm safety, and home safety issues,
along with information on Global Position Systems were exhibited
in various commercial buildings on the grounds.
The Ohio State University featured demonstrations
and information on agricultural careers available through their
university.
